Wow ......What a serious and thought-provoking post. Wow ... well done.

There are those who believe that unless we do good and live a life of sacrifice we will not go to Heaven. Heaven is a reward for the good people.

Others beileve that we are all saved by Christ's sacrifice anyway, so as long as we accept Him we're OK and our place in Heaven is guaranteed.

Christ said: "Not everyone who calls me 'Lord, Lord' will enter the Kingdom of Heaven, but only those who do what my Father in Heaven wants them to do." Matthew 7:21

So it seems that He was asking for action not words. Not necessarily virtues, (although they help), like being pious, saintly, honest, prayerful and so on. Christ, if I have understood Him right, is asking for action like helping those less well off than ourselves. Not always with money but also with a smile, a helping hand, sympathy and so on. If a colleague at work is shy or in difficulty, an old person can't do the shopping, a sick person needs a visit ... this is where we come in with our action.

Even writing a Blog and spreading God's News is action. Worth many hours on our knees praying. Visiting other Christian blogs an dencouraging their writers. Promoting a good Blog we have read. These are all examples of actions in the name of God.

Temperance? Having two of those chocolates instead of three or four. OK ... three chocolates maximum!

God bless.

Victor S E Moubarakhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04280638667651857296noreply@blogger.com
